How often do your books open?

  • About four times a year, usually when seasons change. I will always announce books opening on my Instagram.

What types of tattoos do you offer?

  • Freehand Floral

These botanical tattoos are designed during your appointment by drawing directly on your skin with markers. I will use the reference images you send to build the design. This method is reserved for tattoos of plants, as other subject matter tends to require more planning ahead. Freehand tattoos take more time and collaboration than other methods, so these tattoos often need longer appointments and multiple sessions.

  • Custom Stencil

These tattoos are drawn on paper before your appointment and a stencil is applied to your skin before we begin tattooing. This method is best for tattoos that contain any imagery other than plants. You will not be sent the design before your appointment, but you will have the opportunity to discuss and fine-tune the design when you arrive.

  • Flash

These tattoos are pre-drawn and repeatable and are posted in my Instagram highlights. Most designs are hand-size or smaller and have set prices. This is a great option for clients looking to add something creative to their collection but have a specific budget and are open to seeing what the artist has dreamed up. You can choose your design ahead of time or at your appointment.

do you tattoo in color?

  • I am currently only taking black and grey projects.

how long will my appointment take?

  • The length of freehand tattoos cannot be estimated, as the drawing time varies greatly between projects. If you make an appointment for a freehand tattoo, please do not make the appointment on a day you have a strict end time.

  • Time estimates can be given for custom stencil and flash appointments. These estimates are approximate as there are many unpredictable factors that can affect the length of an appointment.

Can I bring a friend to my appointment?

  • I recommend coming alone. Space is limited and the lobby gets pretty boring.

I submitted a proposal and have not heard back, what gives?

  • I respond to every single proposal I receive. If you have not seen my reply, it is likely that either a) my reply is in your spam folder or b) your email address was entered incorrectly. If we missed each other this round, feel free to resubmit next time my books open.

i haven’t heard from you since I booked my appointment, everything cool?

  • Yep! If you sent your deposit and scheduled your appointment, it’s official! I’ll be ready for you the day of your appointment.

What If I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

  • Please call the shop at least 48 hours before your appointment at (503)719-6780 if you would like to reschedule or cancel. I do not handle scheduling through email.

Why did you say no to my proposal?

  • I get more proposals than I have appointments available. I usually prioritize projects that I know I can execute well. If you would like a recommendation for another artist, I am happy to make one.

We started a tattoo but didn’t finish, How do I book another session?

  • If we have already started a project, feel free to call the shop directly to book your next session, no need to send an email or wait for books to open.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

  • You will receive a confirmation text 24 hours before your appointment with a link to a consent form. Please fill out and submit the form before your appointment.

  • I highly recommend moisturizing the area with lotion every day for two weeks leading up to your appointment.

  • Please do not use numbing products without prior discussion. Certain applications can affect the tattoo process and I will need to plan accordingly.

  • Get a good night’s sleep before your appointment.

  • Stay well hydrated and avoid intoxicants for 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Familiarize yourself with the aftercare process.

  • Eat well before your appointment.

  • Bring water in a closed container.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area to be tattooed.

  • Feel free to bring headphones, a book, or anything else that may help you stay still and relaxed during your session.

  • Ask questions! If you have any questions or concerns, I am more than happy to address them before or during your appointment.
